Tennessee football at LSU: Five best prop bets
3. Bru McCoy scores a touchdown (+105 on FanDuel)
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change
Jalin Hyatt, Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small are all more likely to find the end zone than Bru McCoy Saturday. However, you don’t get good odds on those bets, as Small is -170 and Wright is -110. Cedric Tillman is -145, and he’s banged up. The best bet by far when it comes to wideouts is McCoy, and McCoy is still likely to find the end zone.
LSU plays a ton of press man coverage. They rely on hitting receivers at the line of scrimmage, knocking them off their routes and slowing up timing for everybody. Against Ramel Keyton, who is under 200 pounds, that should work, and Tillman being banged up will only make that more effective. It is a concern for Tennessee football.
However, McCoy is a lot more physical, and he has already proven himself in both big games by the Vols. Two weeks ago, without Tillman, he had over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. He has gone for a touchdown in both of the Vols’ wins against Power Five opponents.
It should happen again. There’s bound to be a play in which an LSU defensive back gets burned for playing him so tight, and that’s why he’s a good bet for a guy to score a touchdown. Honestly, even with this moneyline, if he doesn’t get in, it’ll be a bit of a surprise.
