While Tennessee football didn’t play, we wish we had a bye too. It was brutal for us, and the only thing that saved the week from being historically bad was what happened on the over/under. However, our most sure bets were on the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks and Baylor Bears, and we were wrong on all four.

Week 5 performance (44% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 2-6
  • Over/Under: 5-3
  • Moneyline: -20% (Lost $160.13 if $100 bet on every game)

Overall performance for the year (57.5% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 35-25-1
  • Over/Under: 34-26-1
  • Moneyline: +3.4% ($188.69 profit if $100 bet on every game)

Of course, Baylor was part of a massive moneyline fail we had too, losing three of those. Well, with the Vols back in action this week, we have a chance to right the ship. There are nine games for us to predict overall this year. All 14 SEC teams play each other.

That gives us seven games to pick alone, but them we’ve got two non-conference top 25 games. For the first time all year, every game is interesting. As always, we’ll pick them in the order they’re scheduled before closing with Tennessee football. Here are our Week 6 Vols, SEC and top 25 picks and bets.

The LSU Tigers hosting Tennessee football leads our Volunteers, Southeastern Conference and top 25 gambling takes and predictions for Week 6 of 2022.

What do we make of the Missouri Tigers? They put up a fight against Georgia last week, but at the same time, Eli Drinkwitz’s team is 2-3. Still, they should be 4-1, having suffered the two unluckiest losses in history. Now they desperately need a win, and they have to travel to The Swamp to try and get it.

The Florida Gators rebounded from its loss to Tennessee football with a nice blowout win over the Eastern Washington Eagles. Anthony Richardson’s passing truly seems to be taking off, and they are just as desperate as Mizzou for their first SEC win.

Prediction

Mizzou has played two games on the road, and one of them was a 40-12 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats. Read nothing into that close loss at the Auburn Tigers. Auburn is awful. The Mizzou team that lost to KSU is the true road team. With that and Florida hitting its stride, the Gators dominate and cover easily. They’ll hold Mizzou enough for it to hit the under too.

Florida: 38 Missouri: 10 (Florida -11; Under 54)
