Ole Miss’ insanely lucky win last week to stay undefeated and in the top 10 came at the expense of the Kentucky Wildcats. Mark Stoops’ team should easily be undefeated themselves right now and be posing as big a threat to Tennessee football as Georgia and Alabama.

Instead, they have fallen to No. 13 in both polls. Kentucky is looking to get back on track this week with an SEC East game, and the good news about that loss for them is that if they have delusions of competing for the SEC Championship or College Football Playoff, that loss did nothing to those.

On the other side, the South Carolina Gamecocks have had the two least impressive 50-point performances in blowout victories ever. Spencer Rattler is not who anybody thought he would be, and everybody seems to be waiting for the wheels to fall off of Shane Beamer’s program. Could this be the game where that happens?

Prediction

Kentucky is significantly better than South Carolina, and they’re playing at home. As a result, them covering is the easiest call of the day. However, that spread is insanely low and doesn’t speak to what South Carolina has done this year offensively. Take the Wildcats to win comfortably, but take the over since both teams will score enough.

Kentucky 34 South Carolina: 21 (Kentucky -6.5; Over 46.5)
