2. Jayden Daniels will throw for two touchdowns.

Although he’s not quite Anthony Richardson, Jayden Daniels is actually more efficient as a passer and has thrown more touchdown passes. Also, LSU has more weapons. Malik Nabers has been performing well for them, and all signs point to this being the game in which Kayson Boutte emerges as one of the SEC’s top weapons.

On the other side, Tennessee football is still without Warren Burrell, who struggled defending the No. 1 cornerback anyway. He’s gone for the year. Josh Heupel said junior college transfer cornerback Dee Williams will make his debut in this game after getting hurt in training camp, but there’s no way of knowing how effective he can be.

The fact is the Vols don’t have a No. 1 cornerback, and given how good LSU has been in the second half, that means they are going to get burned through the air. Brian Kelly also knows how to exploit those things. As a result, Daniels’ touchdown passing drought comes to an end. He last had one against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Look for two TDs from Daniels in this game, likely in the second half. It won’t help that the Vols will be focused on pressure and containing him in the pocket. Also, they’ll play soft coverage, and since Daniels likes to take the safer throws, that means he’ll torch them down the field.
