Tennessee football: Photo gallery from Vols' 40-13 win at LSU

It’s hard to overstate what Tennessee football just pulled off. The Vols went to Death Valley and won, securing their first win over the LSU Tigers since 2005. It’s actually their biggest win in Death Valley in history and their second largest margin of victory against LSU in history, their largest dating all the way back to 1940.

UT, which came into the game ranked No. 8 in both polls, dominated 40-13. In addition to a memorable blowout, it was. Vol takeover in Louisiana. From partying in New Orleans Friday night to staying at Tiger Stadium Saturday, Rocky Top was in full force for this game.

Josh Heupel has this program rolling, and now with a 5-0 start and three wins over top 25 Power Five teams, the Vols are at their highest point in years. Things are about to get crazy for Tennessee football going forward, as the Vols will face the Alabama Crimson Tide next week, which will likely be the highest combined ranking between the two teams in history. Although this win was memorable, what wasn’t memorable was the game itself, as it was a blowout.

Of course, Vol fans were more than happy about the blowout, as it only made the trip to Louisiana more fun. This was a nice revenge game for them to end a five-game losing streak in the series and make up for what happened the last time they visited Death Valley in 2010.
