Tennessee football: Five key Alabama players to watch for against Vols

He’s obviously relevant for a couple reasons. This is Henry To’o To’o’s second time facing Tennessee football after transferring there from the Vols when Jeremy Pruitt was fired. With him gone and Quavaris Crouch transferring to the Michigan State Spartans, there’s a reason that unit struggled so much last year.
To’o To’o is one of the most valuable players on the Tide’s defense, and he’s now headed back to Rocky Top for a game for the first time since his transfer. How Vol fans respond will be interesting, but in his defense, he had to make the right choice for him at the time.
A bigger story is what To’o To’o does and how UT can account for it. He leads Alabama in total tackles with 39, even if just 16 of them were solo. To’o To’o just knows how to get in on every player and force the offense into a certain direction. That’s why just having one tackle for a loss doesn’t fully define him.
The guy also has four pass deflections, and he has forced and recovered a fumble, so just as Vol fans knew when he was at UT, he is an elite player in all facets of the game. Hendon Hooker and Jabari Small in the backfield will have their hands full trying to deal with him on the run in particular, so they need to watch out.
