For the second straight week, we lost money on gambling the spread and the over/under. Getting Tennessee football covering at the LSU Tigers right didn’t stop that. However, we killed it on the moneyline, and we’re still turning a profit across the board for the year.

Week 6 performance (47% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 4-5
  • Over/Under: 4-4-1
  • Moneyline: +24.5% ($220.46 profit if $100 bet on every game)

Overall performance for the year (56.2% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 39-30-1
  • Over/Under: 38-30-2
  • Moneyline: +6.3% ($409.15 profit if $100 bet on every game)

Now it’s time to get back on track, and what a weekend for that! Three SEC teams are on a bye, and one is on the road for a non-conference game. Then there are five involving two SEC teams playing each other, two of which include two top 25 teams.

Beyond that, we’ve got four non-conference top 25 games to predict, including two top 10 games. Only Tennessee football and the Alabama Crimson Tide is a top 10 SEC game, so it truly is the top game of the week. As usual, we’ll pick games in the order they are scheduled and then close with the Vols, so let’s dive in with our picks and bets.

The Tennessee football Volunteers against the Alabama Crimson Tide headline our gambling predictions for Week 7 Southeastern Conference and top 25 games.

It’s not a top 25 game, but we start with an intriguing matchup between a top 10 team and a divisional foe. Ranked No. 9 in both polls, the Ole Miss Rebels keep squeaking by with hideous wins. Nonetheless, Lane Kiffin’s team is undefeated, and they have the personnel to turn it on when they need to.

On the other side, everybody is waiting for the Auburn Tigers to collapse so Bryan Harsin can get fired. They should be 2-4 right now but have stayed just above water to this point. If they could pull off an upset here, it would keep Harsin above water, much to the chagrin of Auburn country.

Prediction

Although Kiffin is still too busy trolling Tennessee football, Ole Miss’ offense is just too much for Auburn. At the same time, Auburn’s offense is awful. As a result, the Rebels win in a blowout. However, if last week’s game with Georgia hit the under because Auburn’s offense was so bad, the same will happen this week. Take Ole Miss to cover and the under.

Ole Miss: 38 Auburn: 14
