Who saw this as a top 25 matchup earlier in the year? It’s a battle between a coach Tennessee football almost hired during that 2017 coach and a program that was last this good the year Tennessee football won the national championship, and it’s a division game. Somehow, though, it only made it to ACC Network.

The Syracuse Orange are up to No. 18 in both polls. They have been finding ways to win, and they are now tied with the Clemson Tigers for first in the ACC Atlantic. If they win this one, then everything will come down to their trip to Clemson next week, a huge game.

On the other side, the N.C. State Wolfpack already lost to Clemson, but they did just beat the Florida State Seminoles, so they’re back in the race. If they can win this game, then they will also be heavily invested in next week’s Syracuse-Clemson matchup. Dave Doeren’s team is ranked No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 13 in the Coaches Poll.

Prediction

Although it makes sense, the over/under is just too low to take the under, so again, the over is the best play. As for the game itself, Syracuse is lucky to be 5-0, as they should’ve lost to the Purdue Boilermakers and the Virginia Cavaliers. N.C. State is just better, so they’re going to pull off the upset outright, even on the road. Take them and the under.

N.C. State: 28 Syracuse: 24 (N.C. State +3.5; Over 42)
