Former Vols who were injured

Cameron Sutton – DB – Pittsburgh Steelers

Just as he was emerging as another Tennessee football defensive back shining in the NFL, Cam Sutton had to miss the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 20-18 win vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was dealing with a hamstring injury.

Cordarrelle Patterson – RB – Atlanta Falcons

Due to a knee injury in the Falcons’ 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns, Cordarrelle Patterson is out at least until Nov. 10. He didn’t play this past weekend as the Falcons beat the San Francisco 49ers 28-14.

Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints

For the fourth straight game, Alontae Taylor was on IR due to a knee injury. He didn’t play as the Saints lost to the Bengals 30-26, but he should be able to return this week.

Out for the season

Derek Barnett – DE -Philadelphia Eagles

A torn ACL in the opener ended Derek Barnett’s season.

Emmanuel Moseley – DB – San Francisco 49ers

Just like Derek Barnett, Emmanuel Moseley is out with a torn ACL he suffered against the Carolina Panthers.

Ja’Wuan James – OL – Baltimore Ravens

In this year’s opener, Ja’Wuan James suffered a torn achilles. That has resulted in his second straight season-ending injury.
