Speaking of weapons, UT-Martin has them all over in the passing game. Colton Dowell leads the team in receiving with 41 catches for 581 yards and three touchdowns. D.J. Nelson is their tight end and leads the team in touchdown receptions with four. DeVonte Tanksley is an epic No. 2 receiver with 35 catches for 531 yards.

However, it’s all rooted in Dresser Winn. The quarterback can mix in and out the different pieces and still be elite. Just like the offensive line anchors the weapons in the run game, Winn anchors the weapons in the passing game. Add in a quarterback guru in Jason Simpson as his head coach, and he has it all to be elite.

Winn is indeed elite. He is a pure drop-back passer who uses his mobility to avoid pressure, a huge reason he’s been sacked just twice. For the year, he has completed 133 of 210 passes (63.33 percent) for 1,761 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Given his profile, Winn is an underrated NFL prospect, and Tennessee football will have to contain him all game. The Vols have had major issues in the secondary all year, and they were down three starters last week back there. They’ll be down at least one this week, maybe too. As a result, they have to find a way to contain Winn. Otherwise, this could get interesting.
