Welcome to the worst game of the day. To be fair, it’s also the game to determine who will be at the bottom of the SEC come next week, as these are the two only winless teams left in the conference. Tennessee football plays both of them plus the UT-Martin Skyhawks down the stretch. Talk about a break.

Anyway, the Missouri Tigers come in on the heels of a much-needed bye after three straight one-score losses. They should’ve won two of those games, over Auburn and Georgia, and they fought with Florida until the end. Things aren’t looking good for Eli Drinkwitz’s program, but they have a chance for a strong finish, starting with this game.

Although the Vanderbilt Commodores have taken a huge step forward under Clark Lea, they are still Vanderbilt. This is a nice break for them, though, after getting blown out by Ole Miss, Alabama and Georgia. They still have Tennessee football down the stretch, but here is their chance at an SEC win.

Prediction

Sorry Vandy. Mizzou is just better. They also have this game at home and are coming off a bye week. As a result, their offense will finally come together, and against Vandy’s awful defense, they’ll finally put on a show. That’ll be enough for them to cover, but Vandy can score too, so this will hit the over.

Missouri: 38 Vanderbilt: 21 (Missouri -14; Over 49.5)
