Here is a desperate game for both teams, but that’s only within the context of the season. The winner is bound to get into the top 25 next week. For one coach, it’ll signal the potential rise of a program, and for another, it’ll at least signal the rejuvenation of what many though was possible.

After Alabama’s loss at Tennessee football with Bryce Young putting together a Heisman performance, Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies look even worse. Playing Bama close without Young means nothing. However, they had a bye week to correct some things, and there’s still a chance for a strong finish tot he year.

On the other side, the South Carolina Gamecocks were rolling before they went on their bye last week, upsetting Kentucky on the road the week before. Shane Beamer may truly have this program reaching new heights, and this is a game to prove that. If they win, Tennessee football should be on notice for November.

Prediction

Turnovers tell the story of these teams. Despite being on the road, though, Texas A&M is more desperate, so they’ll make a few big plays defensively late in a low-scoring affair. That’ll get them a hideous win to keep Fisher afloat for now and put them back above .500, but take the under. They cover but barely.
