Defeated Texas A&M Aggies 30-24
You all thought Shane Beamer was a joke and that South Carolina’s back-to-back 50-point games were a fluke. Heck, everybody wrote them off after beating Kentucky by two scores because Kentucky was without Will Levis. What now? This team is on a four-game winning streak and worthy of being in the top 25.
How many excuses are we going to make before saying this is a good team? Sure, they win a bit unconventionally given the fact that they have a big-name quarterback who seems to be struggling. Who cares? They are winning, and they are scoring quality wins in the process.
All of a sudden, Tennessee football needs to worry about visiting them later this year. They are a dangerous team, and their two losses to Arkansas and Georgia are nothing to be ashamed of. Sure, A&M is falling apart, but nobody saw last Saturday coming.
This winning streak is about to continue too, as they get Mizzou at home and then a trip to Vandy, so they’ll be 7-2 soon enough. Then comes the home stretch to make or break the season. It starts with a trip to Florida before a visit from Tennessee football and then a trip to the Clemson Tigers. Winning one of three would make this a successful season.
