Lost to South Carolina Gamecocks 30-24

Yeah, it’s time to panic. Texas A&M had no business losing to South Carolina over the weekend. They already had tons of issues, but Jimbo Fisher should not be under .500 in his fifth season given his insanely high contract and the fact that his team had the No. 1 recruiting class this past year. They are dramatically underachieving.

Now, South Carolina is a concern for Tennessee football. We’ll have more on that later. When it comes to A&M, struggling like that off a bye week is a horrendous look. Once again, they have nothing to play for, and they are barely above that bottom tier in our SEC Power Rankings.

Honestly, beating the Miami Hurricanes doesn’t even look as good anymore. They look more like the team that lost to the Appalachian State Mountaineers, as The U is once again a disaster. That Arkansas win looks luckier and luckier by the day, and most notably, this team just seems undisciplined as well as bad offensively.

A bowl appearance is truly in question at this point. They at least are back home for the first time in over a month, though, with Ole Miss and Florida coming to town in back to back weeks. A visit to Auburn follows before they close out with the UMASS Minutemen and LSU at home. All five games are winnable, so they could finish 8-4, but the season is already a bust.
