Stars of the week

Darrell Taylor – DE – Seattle Seahawks

Ever since Pete Carroll moved Darrell Taylor specifically over to situational pass rusher, he has blossomed into a star. Taylor had two solo tackles, including a strip-sack with a fumble recovery, to help the Seattle Seahawks beat the Los Angeles Chargers 37-23 Sunday. It was the second straight week Taylor had a strip sack.

This strip-sack came late in the first quarter and helped set up a field goal to put Seattle up 17-0. Big plays like that is what Taylor did with Tennessee football, and he’s now starting to show out for Carroll and co. just as Seattle gets on a roll. They are now 4-3.

Trey Smith – OL – Kansas City Chiefs

The entire Kansas City Chiefs offensive line did an incredible job protecting Patrick Mahomes, allowing him to throw for over 400 yards. He was sacked only once. KC also had 21 carries for 112 yards and three touchdowns. Trey Smith was in on every offensive play with this epic performance as KC beat the San Francisco 49ers 44-23.

Alvin Kamara – RB – New Orleans Saints

Things are starting to heat up for Alvin Kamara coming back from injury, as he had 11 carries for 49 yards and seven catches for 56 yards last Thursday. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t enough, as the New Orleans Saints lost to the Arizona Cardinals 42-34.
