Former Vols who saw limited action

Mogan Cox – LS – Tennessee Titans

It’s safe to say Morgan Cox played a huge role in the Tennessee Titans beating the Indianapolis Colts 19-10 Sunday. He snapped for four punts that had an average of 54.7 yards per punt, and he snapped for an extra point and four field goals, all of which Randy Bullock made.

Jakob Johnson – FB – Las Vegas Raiders

Another player in the Ravens’ 38-20 win over the Texans, Jakob Johnson was in on 16 offensive snaps and nine special teams snaps. However, he recorded no stats.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin – DB – Houston Texans

On the other side of that Raiders-Texans game, Jalen Reeves-Maybin saw action on numerous special teams plays. However, he recorded no stats and didn’t play any on defense.

Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears

Coming off a couple of unfortunate fumbles, Velus Jones Jr. played 13 snaps on offense and one on special teams. Tennessee football’s third-round draft pick had no stats in the Chicago Bears’ 33-14 loss to the New England Patriots.

Bryce Thompson – DB – New Orleans Saints

Joining Alontae Taylor, as they started together in college for Tennessee football, Bryce Thompson played six defensive snaps and nine special teams snaps for the Saints last Thursday. He had minimal impact in their 42-34 loss to Arizona.

Justin Coleman – DB – Seattle Seahawks

Once the best nickel in the pros, Justin Coleman played 12 special teams snaps for the Seahawks Sunday. However, he did have a tackle in their 37-23 win over the Chargers.

Cade Mays – OL – Carolina Panthers

It was the NFL debut for the sixth round draft pick in 2022 from Tennessee football. Cade Mays played three special teams snaps as the Carolina Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-3.
