Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change

Here’s an underrated matchup of the week. Both of these teams are still in the Big 12 Championship race, and both are in the top 25. The loser of this one will likely be knocked out of both, but it’s certainly paying attention to given what happened last week.

Amidst all the talk surrounding the Kansas Jayhawks, Chris Klieman has the Kansas State Wildcats No. 22 in both polls. Sure, they lost last week at the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs, but they also lost quarterback Adrian Martinez in the first quarter. Now, that doesn’t excuse them blowing a 28-10 lead, but it shows they are pretty good.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma State Cowboys keep finding ways to win. They suffered a heartbreaker at TCU a week before KSU lost to them, losing in overtime, and last week, they came back to beat the Texas Longhorns. Mike Gundy has this team No. 9 in both polls, and if they win Saturday, the possibilities for everything remain open.

Prediction

Given Josh Heupel’s success, Tennessee football fans are probably happy they didn’t land Gundy in 2017 now, but he’s still a great coach, and this is one of his better teams. Although the game is in Kansas State, Martinez’s injury is the X-factor here.

Oklahoma State’s offense has found its groove and will put on a show. They actually win a blowout, but the game hits the over because both teams do enough scoring. This is the best upset pick of the weekend and may be the best spread pick.

Oklahoma State: 41 Kansas State: 24 (Oklahoma State +1.5; Over 56)
