We have no idea what to make of either of these teams. Sure, the records show a stark contrast between them, but if you look at how their seasons have gone, it’s more of a toss-up than anybody thinks. The best advice is to stay away from the spread on this one at all costs.

Coming off a bye week, the Missouri Tigers finally got a much-needed win. They barely beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 17-14. That’s after they lost three straight games by one score to Auburn, Georgia and Florida, and they should’ve beaten Auburn and Georgia. So what do we make of Eli Drinkwitz’s team? He can show us Saturday.

On the other side, the South Carolina Gamecocks have shocked everybody. They are on a four-game winning streak and just beat the Texas A&M Aggies two weeks after beating Kentucky. Shane Beamer’s team is No. 25 in both polls and rolling, but it’s still hard to consider them legitimate because none of their wins are pretty.

Prediction

Beamer Ball has taken over South Carolina. Tennessee football has to be careful when traveling there next month. Playing this one at home and riding a wave of momentum, South Carolina will relieve Mizzou fans from the heart-pounding games the past month and will just win easily. However, take the under, as Mizzou’s offense just won’t score enough. That’s the best bet.

South Carolina: 17 Missouri: 3 (South Carolina -3.5; Under 46)
