This game shouldn’t be hard to predict. A top 10 team whose only loss is to the LSU Tigers on the road is facing a team with a losing record that lost to the Appalachian State Mountaineers and is imploding. Isn’t the outcome going to be obvious? Well, honestly, no. It won’t.

The Ole Miss Rebels are still in the SEC West race after losing to LSU last week, and that shows with them being ranked No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 12 in the Coaches Poll. LSU is in the race too, now, though, and both teams have to face Alabama in November. Buckle up for a wild ride in the SEC West, one Lane Kiffin will have a huge role in.

On the other side, the Texas A&M Aggies are crumbling under Jimbo Fisher and just lost to South Carolina. The wheels could be coming off this program, but he’s too expensive to fire, so nobody knows what to do. However, a win Saturday could reinvigorate the program down the stretch, and they are still recruiting well.

Prediction

Ole Miss is overrated, which is why Kiffin keeps tweeting about Tennessee football. He needs to keep the program relevant. A&M is better than their record and has this game at home. Fisher always gets a big win just when he needs it. All of this is why Vegas has the line within two points.

Take A&M to win outright. Ole Miss’ defense will struggle, so Fisher’s offense finally finds itself late in the season. Still, Ole Miss will put up points with that elite offense, enough to make this game hit the over, but it won’t happen by much.

Texas A&M: 31 Ole Miss: 27 (Texas A&M +1.5; Over 55)
