Pick Analysis. Jalin Hyatt. 3. player. Scouting Report. Wide receiver. Junior. 839

5 catches for 138 yards, 2 TDs

Heard of this guy before? Even with Cedric Tillman back in the lineup, Jalin Hyatt was the star receiver once again. Kentucky has had an elite secondary all year that doesn’t give up big plays. That didn’t stop Hyatt from once again coming through for Tennessee football when the Vols needed him the most.

It started on the opening drive. Hyatt caught a 55-yard touchdown pass to put the Vols up 7-0. He actually got hurt at one point in the game, but he came back in and caught a 31-yard touchdown pass in the final 30 seconds of the second half to put UT up 27-6.

In the process, Hyatt broke Marcus Nash’s school record for receiving touchdowns in a game, as he hit 14 Saturday night, and there’s still over a third of the season left to play. He has scored at least two touchdowns in each of the past four games and five of the past six games. Simply put, this guy is on a roll.

What was interesting in this one, though, is how wide open Hyatt was on both touchdowns. Yes, he burned Kentucky’s defense, but Kentucky was bracketing another receiver both times, showing him the ultimate disrespect. That’s a product of the next guy on this list.
