Stars of the week
Alvin Kamara – RB – New Orleans Saints
Over the past few weeks, Alvin Kamara has been getting better and better, and he exploded onto the scene Sunday as the New Orleans Saints beat the Las Vegas Raiders 24-0. Kamara had 18 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown along with nine catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
This was the type of performance everybody has come to expect from Kamara. With him out earlier, Cordarrelle Patterson became the star running back. Patterson is set to return soon, so Tennessee football could have two superstar all-purpose backs making a splash over the next few weeks. Watch out for how dangerous they could be.
Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints
In a breakout game, Alontae Taylor is solidifying himself as a starting cornerback for the Saints despite being a rookie. Kamara’s teammate had three pass deflections and three tackles. He only allowed three catches for 34 yards on 10 targets his way, forced a 49.6 passer ragin and didn’t allow any catches to Davante Adams on the three plays the two were matched up.
Cameron Sutton – DB – Pittsburgh Steelers
So this is somewhat skewed, as Jalen Hurts just kept throwing A.J. Browns way, who had three touchdown receptions and over 100 yards. However, Cam Sutton had four tackles and two pass deflections in the Pittsburgh Steelers 35-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He allowed just one catch on three targets, so he was good on his end.
