Former Vols who saw significant action during Week 8

Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears

Despite a 49-29 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Velus Jones Jr. had two carries for 33 yards, one catch for five yards and a 22-yard kickoff return for the Chicago Bears. He’s coming into his own after a rough start.

Kendal Vickers – DL – Las Vegas Raiders

Playing 19 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps, Kendal Vickers assisted on a tackle in the Raiders’ 24-0 loss to the Saints.

Marquez Callaway – WR – New Orleans Saints

While Alvin Kamara did almost all the damage, fellow Tennessee football star Marquez Callaway had a 10-yard catch and played 21 snaps as the Saints beat the Raiders 24-0.

Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints

Joining Callaway, Shy Tuttle, who was also from that era of Tennessee football, played 18 snaps in the Saints’ victory against Vegas. However, he recorded no stats.

Jonathan Kongbo – DE – Denver Broncos

This was shocking. Jonathan Kongbo has been a practice squad player except for one game. However, he didn’t just play in this one. He played significantly. Kongbo saw action on 15 defensive snaps and three special teams snaps as the Denver Broncos beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-17. In the process, he did register a tackle.
