Tennessee vs Georgia Best Bets and Longshot Picks

Tennessee Moneyline (+250)

The Vols feel like a team of destiny. They’re 7-1 against the spread (ATS) this year, covering by an average of nearly 13 points per game in the wins. Georgia is obviously a great team as well, but the Bulldogs are just 2-3 ATS in their last five games. These odds suggest Georgia is a much better team than Tennessee, and I don’t think that’s the case at all.

Both teams rank in the top five nationally in yards per play and top 35 in opponent yards per play. For me, the Vols get the edge because of Hendon Hooker. The Heisman favorite has completed over 71% of his passes with 21 TDs to one interception while averaging 10.7 yards per attempt. As a bonus, he’s got 338 yards on the ground with four additional TDs.

On the other end, Stetson Bennett is a quality player, but just threw two interceptions against Florida while completing only 50% of his passes. If you’re keeping track, that’s twice as many interceptions as Hooker has all season.

I’ll back the better quarterback and think the Vols pull off another dramatic upset.

Jalin Hyatt Over 73.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

In his last three games, Hyatt has 519 receiving yards and nine (!!!!) TDs. He’s enjoying one of the best stretches we’ve ever seen, and I couldn’t be happier to see his receiving yards prop is only 73.5. Sure, Georgia has a great defense. So did Alabama, whom Hyatt had 207 yards and five TDs against.

The Bulldogs are not impenetrable. Shoot, Missouri almost beat them. If Tennessee wins this game as I think it will, Hyatt will have to be a large part of the equation.

Trust the most dominant player in college football and back Hyatt to clear this prop with ease.

Jalin Hyatt First TD Scorer (+950)

Look, Hyatt is -140 to score a TD. Oddsmakers think he’ll find the end zone, and I think these odds are a steal for him to get the first TD in the game.

A huge play waiting to happen, Hyatt scored the first TD against Kentucky last week and I think Tennessee will want to make a statement on their first drive. That means looking Hyatt’s way for a deep shot, and +950 odds are a gift that Hooker connects with his man.

We saw what Hyatt can do when he torched Alabama, and now he gets a chance to cement himself as a legendary player. Averaging 20.2 yards per catch on the season, I believe he gets it done.

Before you lock these bets in, don’t forget to first claim your $1,000 risk-free bet from FanDuel. A $1,000 bet on Hyatt to score the first TD, for example, would profit $9,500! The clock is ticking – sign up for FanDuel today to get one step closer to a MASSIVE payday.
