Tennessee football, SEC and top 25 picks and bets for Week 11 of 2022
Last week’s loss by Tennessee football to the Georgia Bulldogs was part of another underwhelming performance by us. We just barely missed on so many games, costing the spread and the moneyline. The Missouri Tigers roughing the punter, for instance, ended up costing us on both of those.
Week 10 performance (44.4% on spread and over/under)
- Spread: 4-5
- Over/Under: 4-5
- Moneyline: -15.9 percent (Lost 143.19 if $100 bet on every game)
Overall performance for the year (49.5% on spread and over/under)
- Spread: 49-55-1
- Over/Under: 53-49-3
- Moneyline: -3.8% (Lost $378.69 if $100 bet on every game)
Although we remain underwater, this home stretch of November offers plenty of chances to make things right. There are seven games involving SEC teams playing each other and three more involving non-conference top 25 teams, including one Group of Five game.
As a result, we once again have 10 games to predict, many of which have plenty of relevance to Tennessee football and their playoff hopes. Like we always do, we’ll predict the games in the order of which they are scheduled and close with the Vols. Here are our SEC and top 25 picks and bets for Week 11 of 2022.

One of the luckiest wins ever got Kentucky back into the top 25 last week, at No. 24 in the College Football Playoff rankings and Coaches Poll. However, they are unranked in the AP Poll, so they have more to prove. Mark Stoops’ team, despite three losses, still has a shot at another 10-win season, which is highly impressive for this program.
To get there, they have to face their traditional rival for worst team in the conference. The Vanderbilt Commodores head to town desperately looking for an SEC win in Clark Lea’s second season, and this may just be the game for them to pull that out. Anything can happen in a noon SEC East showdown.
Prediction
Kentucky plays ugly, and not just in the way they lost to Tennessee football. They make things ugly in general. That will come into play in this game and result in it hitting the under. At the same time, it’ll result in the Wildcats failing to cover. They’ll win, but take the under and Vandy on the spread.
Kentucky: 28 Vanderbilt 14 (Vanderbilt +17.5; Under 47)
