Here’s an intriguing SEC East showdown. It’s the Steve Spurrier bowl. Tennessee football got by one of the teams but has to visit the other one next week, so this matchup could give Vol fans an idea of what they are looking at. Both coaches come in with lots of hype too.

The Florida Gators come into this game after a pretty impressive dominating win over Texas A&M last week. Billy Napier’s detail-oriented process seems to be working out, and they are probably only going to get better if you look at what they are building on the recruiting trail. Clinching a bowl is the first step, though, and they can do that with this game.

Before their loss to the Missouri Tigers, the South Carolina Gamecocks had shockingly reached the top 25. All the questions about Shane Beamer were being put to rest. Reality set in with that loss, but they got back on track last week by beating the Vanderbilt Commodores. A win at The Swamp would do wonders for the momentum, though.

Prediction

South Carolina isn’t that good of a team. Tennessee football should dominate them in a week, but before that happens, they’ll struggle in this one. Florida’s offense is getting scarier by the day, and they’ll pour it on in this game. As a result, the Gators win and cover, and this hits the over.

Florida: 45 South Carolina: 21 (Florida -8; Over 59)
