Here’s one game with College Football Playoff implications for Tennessee football. It’s also one that, if things break a certain way the rest of the season, could have Pac-12 Championship implications, but that part isn’t as clear just yet.

The Vols joined the Oregon Ducks last week as the two top 10 teams whose only losses are blowouts to Georgia. UT didn’t lose by as much, but they looked nearly as bad. Oregon, ranked No. 6 across the board, is just behind them in the CFP, but they have quite a few chances at quality wins left, starting with this game.

On the other side, the Washington Huskies look really good under first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer. Outside of two road losses in the middle of the year to the UCLA Bruins and Arizona State Sun Devils, they’ve done everything right, and ranked No. 25 in the AP Poll, No. 24 in the Coaches Poll and No. 23 in the CFP, this is a shot at a signature win.

Prediction

Oregon is back in the hunt for the playoff, and this is a chance to add to that with a quality win. There’s no way Dan Lanning’s team slips up given those factors. As a result, the Ducks will pour it on in this game in a blowout. The over/under is a bit too high, partially because Washington won’t score enough, so take the under, but Oregon covers easily.

Oregon: 49 Washington: 17 (Oregon -13.5; Under 72.5)
