Tennessee football Week 10 NFL recap: Vols’ favorite OL shines
Former Vols who played significantly
Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints
On the other side of the Steelers’ 20-10 win over the Saints, Alontae Taylor saw a lot of action and had six solo tackles. He deserves credit for his play and has a bright future, but he allowed George Pickens to catch three passes for 32 yards on just four targets, so he couldn’t get star status.
Alvin Kamara – RB – New Orleans Saints
Joining Alontae Taylor, Alvin Kamara saw lots of action but had a mediocre performance. He finished with eight carries for 26 yards and three catches for 19 yards in the Saints’ loss.
Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints
Another former Tennessee football player who fell victim to Sutton’s Steelers, Shy Tuttle was in on two assisted tackles for the Saints.
Jauan Jennings – WR – San Francisco 49ers
There were no big plays, but Jauan Jennings had four catches for 40 yards and played a huge role in the San Francisco 49ers beating the Los Angeles Chargers 22-16.
Joshua Palmer – WR – Los Angeles Chargers
Playing against Jennings, Josh Palmer wasn’t able to replicate his star performance a week ago, but he did have three catches for 44 yards as the 49ers won.
Cordarrelle Patterson – RB – Atlanta Falcons
Like Kamara, Cordarelle Patterson had a shockingly mediocre performance in this one. He finished with five carries for 18 yards and one two-yard catch as the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Carolina Panthers 25-15, but he did have three kickoff returns for 85 yards.5 carries, 18 yards; 1 reception, 2 yards; 3 kick returns, 85 yards; 1 solo tackle on special teams; lost 25-15 to Carolina Panthers
Kendal Vickers – DL – Las Vegas Raiders
Appearing on 45 percent of his teams defensive snaps, Kendal Vickers had one solo tackle as the Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Indianapolis Colts 25-20.
