Tennessee football, SEC and top 25 picks and bets for Week 12 of 2022
Despite a losing record on the spread, we hit a profit on our overall gambling picks thanks to what we did on the over/under last week. Hitting both Tennessee football predictions helped us a lot, and we’re now back at 50 percent. However, our moneyline bets took another huge hit, and we’re way behind there.
Week 11 performance (55% on spread and over/under)
- Spread: 4-6
- Over/Under: 7-3
- Moneyline: -18.9 percent (Lost 188.75 if $100 bet on every game)
Overall performance for the year (50% on spread and over/under)
- Spread: 53-61-1
- Over/Under: 60-52-3
- Moneyline: -5.2% (Lost $567.44 if $100 bet on every game)
Only two weeks remain in the regular season, so we’re running out of time to make up for all this lost ground. Fortunately, there are plenty of games for us to pick this week. All 14 SEC teams play, and six have non-conference games. We also have two non-conference top 25 games to bring you, both from the Pac-12.
That makes for 12 games to pick overall, and as usual, we’ll pick them based on the order in which they are scheduled while closing with Tennessee football. Two of the games are SEC vs. FCS foes, so let’s start with them knowing there is nothing to bet there.
The Tennessee football Volunteers’ visit to the South Carolina Gamecocks headlines our Week 12 Southeastern Conference and top 25 gambling predictions.
Austin Peay Governors (7-3; 3-2) at Alabama Crimson Tide (8-2; 5-2)
Saturday, Nov. 19 | Noon ET | ESPN+/SEC Network+ | Bryant-Denny Stadium; Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Ranked No. 8 across the board, the Alabama Crimson Tide proved last week they can win regular season games with no hope for a national championship, scoring a top 25 victory at the Ole Miss Rebels. Now they get a decent ASUN team from FCS play for a break in the Austin Peay Governors, so they’ll cruse to victory.

East Tennessee State Buccaneers (3-7; 1-7) at Mississippi State Bulldogs (6-4; 3-4)
Saturday, Nov. 19 | Noon ET | ESPN+/SEC Network+ | Davis Wade Stadium; Starkville, Miss.
Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs hung tough with the Georgia Bulldogs for a half last week. They now have to face an ETSU Bucs team from the Southern Conference that has fallen apart after last year’s successful run. MSU’s air raid works to perfection, and the pour it on here.
