Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change

This game doesn’t have near the magnitude we all thought it might have at the beginning of the year. One team, to be fair, is actually better than advertised, but the other is significantly worse than we all thought. Still, it’s the SEC’s Game of the Week on CBS, so it has some intrigue.

Kentucky shockingly lost to Vanderbilt last week, proving once and for all it’s not a top 25 program. Now, they are better than Vandy. If not for a series of mistakes against them and Ole Miss, and if not for an injury to Will Levis, they’d easily be 9-1, and this game would be for a three-way tie with Georgia and Tennessee football in the SEC East.

On the other side, Georgia is as dominant as they were last year. Kirby Smart’s team is rolling over everybody as if their national championship wasn’t enough. It looks like they want to add that SEC Championship they didn’t win last year. No. 1 across the board, they have clinched the East, but style points would certainly help here.

Prediction

Given the mission they’ve been on ever since Tennessee football was a trendy pick to upset them, and given the fact that Levis isn’t the same quarterback he was in October, the Dawgs will dominate this game. It’ll be all defense, but it’ll be enough for them to cover. Kentucky won’t score, so take the under as well.

Georgia: 31 Kentucky: 0 (Georgia -22.5; Under 48.5)
