Finally, we have a top 25 matchup, as none are in the SEC this week. Here is a game with huge College Football Playoff implications and one that Tennessee football needs to pay attention to. Unfortunately for the Vols, they’ll actually be playing when this one kicks off.

Anyway, the USC Trojans remain the Pac-12’s last hope to reach the playoff. At No. 7 in the CFP and AP Poll and No. 6 in the Coaches Poll, if they win out, they’ll finish 12-1 with a Pac-12 Championship and three straight wins against ranked teams. That starts this weekend with their annual rivalry of the Los Angeles area.

The UCLA Bruins are part of the reason USC remains the Pac-12’s last playoff hope, as they were shocked 34-28 at home by the Arizona Wildcats last week. Now ranked No. 16 across the board, this team still has Pac-12 Championship hopes, but they have to pull it out in this one. That’s just extra reason for them to want to beat their rival.

Prediction

It’s Chip Kelly vs. Lincoln Riley. That’s enough for me to say points! I don’t care that it’s set at 76.5, take the over. Let’s go all in on the shootout, and if that happens, it honestly favors Kelly at home. As a result, despite what happened last week, they were likely looking ahead to this game, and UCLA still has tons to play for, so take them to win.

UCLA: 45 USC: 41 (UCLA +2.5; Over 76.5)
