Former Vols who saw significant action

Alvin Kamara – RB – New Orleans Saints

Despite not scoring a touchdown, Alvin Kamara had a pretty big day for the New Orleans Saints in their 27-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Kamara had 12 carries for 42 yards and four catches for 47 yards, so it was his typical day as an all-purpose back who managed to steal the show.

Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints

On the other side of Kamara, Alontae Taylor continues to break out as Tennessee football’s highest 2022 NFL Draft pick. Taylor allowed just three catches on 6 targets and came away with five solo tackles and a pass deflection while playing every defensive snap in the Saints’ victory.

Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints

Joining Taylor from the Vols on defense, Shy Tuttle only played on 41 percent of the defensive snaps, but he had an impressive performance in that limited amount of time. Tuttle had three tackles and a pass deflection, playing a huge role in this victory.

Cameron Sutton – DB – Pittsburgh Steelers

Beyond New Orleans Cam Sutton played every snap for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 37-30 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He struggled, allowing 80 yards through the air, but he did have three solo tackles in the game, and he has been emerging this year.
