Former Vols who saw limited action

Velus Jones Jr. – WR/KR – Chicago Bears

While Cordarrelle Patterson was the special teams star, Tennessee football had another specialist on the other side of the ball standing out in that game. Velus Jones Jr. had a 55-yard kickoff return in the Bears’ 27-24 loss to the Falcons, as he finally may be starting to emerge onto the scene after a rocky start to his rookie year.

Marquez Callaway – WR – New Orleans Saints

After missing a week due to injury, Marquez Callaway had a six-yard catch. He played 37 percent of the offensive snaps in the Saints’ 27-20 win over the Rams.

Jakob Johnson – FB – Las Vegas Raiders

While Matthew Butler and Kendal Vickers were out, Jakob Johnson had a catch and played 33 percent of offensive snaps in the Raiders’ 22-16 overtime win over the Broncos. He played 34 percent of the special teams snaps.

Jauan Jennings – WR – San Francisco 49ers

Playing 38 percent of offensive snaps, Jauan Jennings had 0 catches and was targeted twice in the San Francisco 49ers’ 38-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Cade Mays – OL – Carolina Panthers

He was only in on two plays, but Cade Mays’ one offensive snap in the Carolina Panthers’ 13-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens was his first offensive snap of the year. Mays also played one special teams snap.
