On the heels of a 69-51 win over the Colorado Buffaloes Friday, the Tennessee Lady Vols have a quick turnaround and will take the court again Sunday in hopes of finally evening up their record. They finally have a home game that they should cruise through as well.

Kellie Harper’s team, ranked No. 23 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the Coaches Poll, welcomes the Eastern Kentucky Colonels into tow. It’s just UT’s third game against a school not from a Power Five conference, which is rare given this part of the season.

Eastern Kentucky, meanwhile, comes into this game on the heels of an 88-57 win over the Midway Eagles last Wednesday. They are currently on a two-game winning streak. Here is all the information you need for the Tennessee Lady Vols’ afternoon matchup.

Broadcast information

Led by fourth-year head coach Greg Todd, Eastern Kentucky has had to replace four key rotational players from last year’s team that went 15-16. However, they return seven players from last year’s roster, most of whom were also key in last year’s rotation.

Also, they have added Marquette Golden Eagles transfer Antwainette Walker and Eastern Michigan Eagles transfer Danielle Rainey, who are their two leading scorers. Returning starter Alice Recanati and returning rotational player Kalissa Lacy are averaging double figures as well.

Because of this collection of talent, they are a relatively dangerous team at this point. Given how they struggled in the Battle 4 Atlantis, they certainly can’t take this game lightly, especially since Jordan Horston, although playing, was hurt earlier in the year. They still haven’t fully figured out their rotation.

After this game, the Tennessee Lady Vols will be off for a week before hosting the Virginia Tech Hokies next Sunday. Eastern Kentucky, meanwhile, will next visit the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks Friday in what is known as the I-75 Challenge.
