Former Vols who had a bye in Week 14

Micah Abernathy – DB – Green Bay Packers

Marquez Callaway – WR – New Orleans Saints

Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears

Alvin Kamara – RB – New Orleans Saints

Cordarrelle Patterson – RB – Atlanta Falcons

Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints

Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints

As you can see, the biggest reason Tennessee football was so limited in production was due to the Saints having a bye week. Four former Vols play for them. Cordarrelle Patterson is one of the biggest stars from UT in the pros this year as well. This hurt their ability to have a big impact.

Former Vols who were inactive in Week 14

Justin Coleman – DB – Seattle Seahawks

While Darrell Taylor saw limited action and had a huge impact, Justin Coleman was inactive for the Seahawks in their 30-24 loss to the Panthers.

Injured former Vols

Derek Barnett – DE -Philadelphia Eagles

A torn ACL in the opener ended Derek Barnett’s season.

Emmanuel Moseley – DB – San Francisco 49ers

Just like Derek Barnett, Emmanuel Moseley is out with a torn ACL he suffered against the Carolina Panthers.

Ja’Wuan James – OL – Baltimore Ravens

In this year’s opener, Ja’Wuan James suffered a torn achilles. That has resulted in his second straight season-ending injury.

Former Vols on practice squads

Alexander Johnson – LB – Seattle Seahawks

John Kelly – RB – Cleveland Browns

Jonathan Kongbo – DE – Denver Broncos

Joshua Dobbs – QB – Detroit Lions

Khalil McKenzie – OL – Baltimore Ravens

Kendal Vickers – DL – Buffalo Bills

A light week meant that one of Tennessee football’s stars saw limited action. The other, though, is becoming a rising superstar, and both were stars of last week. They were also part of that 2019, the only one that showed any promise under Jeremy Pruitt.
