Former Vols who saw significant action

Cameron Sutton – DB – Pittsburgh Steelers

With two tackles, one of which was solo, and a pass deflection, Cam Sutton continues to be one of those consistent Tennessee football players in the pros right now. He did his part in helping the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 24-16 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints

If not for fellow former Tennessee football player Cordarrelle Patterson running past him on his touchdown run, Shy Tuttle would have been a star of the week. He only played 46 percent of the defensive snaps but had seven tackles, five of which were solo, in the Saints’ win over the Falcons.

Joshua Palmer – WR – Los Angeles Chargers

With five catches for 49 yards, Josh Palmer continues to be a factor on the Los Angeles Chargers. He was critical in their 17-14 win over the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday.

Jauan Jennings – WR – San Francisco 49ers

Last Thursday, Jauan Jennings caught three passes for 31 yards in the San Francisco 49ers’ 21-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Two of his catches were third-down conversions.

Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears

Once again, Velus Jones Jr. continues to see action but also makes mistakes. He had a three-yard catch and averaged 26.5 yards a kickoff return on two kick returns, appearing in 68 percent of offensive snaps and 24 percent of special teams plays. However, he lost another fumble as the Chicago Bears lost 25-20 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
