Former Vols who played significantly

Alontae Taylor – DB – New Orleans Saints

Helping the Saints beat the Browns, fellow former Tennessee football Vol Alontae Taylor had six tackles in the game, four of which were solo. He also had a pass deflection, so he was a huge part of them winning what was a defensive struggle.

Trey Smith – OL – Kansas City Chiefs

Blocking on every snap, Trey Smith paved the way for 77 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 carries as the Chiefs beat the Seahawks 24-10. The unit did allow one sack, but that’s not on Smith. He also had an epic block on their first touchdown on the day.

Velus Jones Jr. – WR – Chicago Bears

It was a bit of a breakout game for Velus Jones Jr., another rookie from Tennessee football. He had two catches for 52 yards and averaged 28.25 yards a kickoff return on four returns in the Chicago Bears’ 35-13 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Shy Tuttle – DL – New Orleans Saints

Helping Alontae Taylor out, Shy Tuttle was a force in the middle as the Saints beat the Browns. He finished with three tackles, one of which was solo.
