It’s almost that time of year again when cinderella story’s come true, when the unimaginable happens right in front of our eyes, during the greatest month of the year… MARCH MADNESS!
In just over a month, the madness will begin, which is the time of year that Tennessee basketball fans have been long awaiting. This year is going to be unlike any other, and once March Madness is upon us, the city of Knoxville will start buzzing. Here’s everything you need to know about when the Madness begins and more.
When is the 2023 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament?
Before the NCAA Tournament, Tennessee basketball will have to battle it out in the SEC. The SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament will be heading to Nashville, TN, and Bridgestone Arena will be once again hosting the annual showdown. The dates of the tournament are from March 8th to March 12th! Catch all the action and be there as the conference’s top student-athletes battle it out for the tournament title.
When is the 2023 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament?
The Lady Volunteers will be traveling down to Greenville, South Carolina to battle in the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament. This will take place from March 1st through March 5th. The Tournament will be held in Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

When Does March Madness Start for the Men’s Tennessee Basketball team?
For the Men’s Tennessee basketball team, March Madness will start on March 14, 2023, with the First Four games, and will continue until the national championship is awarded on April 3, 2023.

When Does March Madness Start for the Lady Vols Tennessee Basketball team?
For the Lady Volunteers, March Madness will begin on March 15th, which is the First Four games. These games will be played on Wednesday and Thursday, March 15-16. The national championship game is at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 2 on ABC.
