In this week’s Tennessee Volunteers news, Hendon Hooker has been impressing everyone, there’s a new football coach in town, and the Senior Bowl was a success.

Reese’s Senior Bowl Recap
Darnell Wright trends toward offensive tackle No. 1 after his dominant showing in the Senior Bowl.
Trevor Sikkema had this to say about Wright:
"“If you need an offensive tackle in the back of the first round, he can be your guy.”"
Hendon Hooker blows scouts away in meetings as reported by NFL Rookie Watch.
They had this to say about Hendon Hooker:
"“Many NFL scouts reportedly believe that Hendon Hooker could “follow in the footsteps” of Dak Prescott. Hooker reportedly “Impressed” many teams during team interviews at the Senior Bowl this past week.”"
The legendary QB1 Hendon Hooker’s draft stock is skyrocketing. On top of Hooker’s draft stock rising, Byron Young is also getting a bunch of first-round love after such a successful weekend.
Vols are in good hands with Josh Heupel
Founder and CEO of On3 sports, Shannon Terry, had this to say about Tennessee football head coach Josh Heupel:
"“Had the opportunity to go to dinner with Head Coach Josh Heupel last week. In 30 Years in sports, I honestly don’t know that I have met a more gracious and humble servant leader. The Vols are in good hands on and off the field…”"
New Tight Ends Coach
BREAKING NEWS: Tennessee is expected to hire Alec Abeln as tight ends coach, sources tell On3 Sports. Abeln has worked at Tennessee as an analyst since 2021 after previously working at Ole Miss. He was an offensive lineman at Missouri when Josh Heupel was Mizzou’s offensive coordinator.

Vols fall short to the Florida Gators
It was only a matter of time until the Tennessee basketball cooled off from the heater that they had been on. Before last night’s game, they were destroying teams left and right. It was simply just not our night, and that’s okay because luckily for Volunteer fans, it’s not march yet.

Vols get back on track vs the Auburn Tigers
Tennessee basketball narrowly defeated the Auburn Tigers by a score of 46-43 in the win yesterday. The Volunteers played one of the worst games of offense all year but were able to continuously weather the storm with their strong defense.
