Here are two takeaways from the Lady Vols’ win on Sunday:
Tennessee Lady Vols’ Rickea Jackson is impossible to guard
Rickea Jackson was firing from everywhere on Sunday and dropped 27 points in the victory. She shot 12-of-15 from the field and was a lockdown defender all game. On top of her stellar shooting performance, she also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
Hopefully, Rickea can continue her impressive play into March, and help the Lady Vols go deep into the Tournament
Tennessee Lady Vols’ Tess Darby is a sniper from behind the arc
Watching Tess Darby fire from 3-point land is a thing of beauty. She scored 17 points in the Victory over Auburn, and was hitting at 83% from deep. She shot 5-for-6 from 3 and was a threat the entire game because it felt like she simply couldn’t miss.
The Lady Vols will shift their attention to hosting the No. 1 ranked South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday night at home. An upset victory over the Gamecocks could go a long way and help build momentum going into the final stretch of the season.
