Today is Monday, February 27th, and in today’s edition of Tennessee Volunteers News, we break down the blueprint of the new Neyland Stadium Hotel.

Just when we thought Neyland Stadium couldn’t get any better, Tennessee announced the plan of a brand new hotel directly next to Neyland Stadium.

According to Thomas & Sparks of the Knoxville NEWS-SENTINEL:

"The Univ. of Tennessee is “mapping out a hotel right next to” Neyland Stadium as part of its “master plan” that will be presented at the UT System Board of Trustees meetings this week… A hotel and other athletic facility renovations and expansions are expected to “improve the game day experience for Vols fans.” The hotel is listed as a “‘near-term’ priority” — meaning it would “come into play within five years — of the campus’ 10-year-plus master plan.” The hotel would be on the “south side of the stadium facing the Tennessee River.” Other SEC schools features “on-campus hotels,” though most are “not located as close to the football stadium as the hotel next to Neyland Stadium would be”"

On Twitter, Vol Report posted a graphic that looks to show exactly where they are planning on putting the hotel.

It’s hard to imagine any possible way to make the experience at Neyland Stadium any better, but adding a hotel will certainly add some new ways to watch Tennessee football from the comfort of your hotel suite.

According to MSN:

"“In the new world of NIL, athletic departments must constantly be searching for an edge. They must consistently renovate facilities, find new resources, and create some out-of-the-box experiences like this one.”"
