Tennessee Baseball: Vols sweep Gonzaga, upcoming schedule, more

Tennessee baseball finished off this weekend’s series against Gonzaga with a clean sweep.

Tennessee baseball is back and better than ever. After a rough start to the season, they have put together 11 consecutive wins and are destroying teams left and right.

Tennessee baseball’s weekend recap

Game 1:

The Vols came out victorious by a score of 8-2. Christian Moore helped lead the Vols to a win with a 452-foot home run.

Moore tallied his second Homer of the season, and it had a 109 mph exit velocity.

Game 2:

Tennessee baseball dominated in game 2 and beat the Zags 7-2. The offense was led by Blake Burke and Kyle Booker who both had home runs.

Burke tallied his 7th homer of the season, launched the ball 423 feet, and had an exit velocity of 112 mph. Kyle Booker smashed his home run 419 feet with an exit velocity of 104 mph.

Game 3:

In the final game of the series, the Vols’ offense came up huge and scored 17 runs. They ended up defeating Gonzaga 17-9 and secured the sweep. Jared Dickey, Christian Moore, and Griffin Merritt all delivered home runs in today’s victory.

Dickey got his fourth home run of the season by smashing it 395 yards and recording a 105 mph exit velocity. Moore got his third home run of the season and hit the ball 432 yards with a 100 mph exit velocity. Merritt tallied his third home run of the season as well and just narrowly made it over the wall. His home run was 351 yards and came off the bat at 96 mph.
