The 2023 NFL Draft will take place tomorrow in Kansas City, MO, and will be an event that Tennessee Football fans will not want to miss.

My Top 6 2023 Tennessee Volunteers Draft Picks – Mock Draft:

OL. Darnell Wright. 57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. University of Tennessee. 9. player

Round 1, Pick 9: Chicago Bears.

The top position the Bears need in this year’s Draft is an offensive lineman. Darnell Wright is arguably the best offensive lineman in this draft class. He was incredible at the NFL Combine and the Tennessee Pro Day, and if the Bears pass on Wright, then I could also see him falling to the 13th pick, which is currently held by the New York Jets.

Pick Analysis. QB. player. 48. Scouting Report. Hendon Hooker. 19. University of Tennessee

Round 1, Pick 19: Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Many people think Hendon is too old, too injured, or whatever excuse they may use. Still, Hendon Hooker is hands down the best Quarterback in this Draft, and I think he will end up in Tampa Bay tomorrow. The Buccaneers are sitting in a perfect position to grab Hooker. They need to improve at the QB position with their current starter Baker Mayfield. Hendon Hooker wasn’t going to show up on day one and be a starter, but starting as the backup behind Baker until he fully heals and learns the offense, he could quite possibly be a perfect scenario for Tampa Bay, who has proven to take chances on older QBs (Tom Brady), and no I’m not comparing Hendon Hooker to Tom Brady, all I’m saying is that the Bucs aren’t worried about QBs age they care about talent. Hendon Hooker has proved countless times that he is the best, and I think the Bucs take a chance on him at pick 19.

University of Tennessee. player. 123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Jalin Hyatt. 26

Round 1, Pick 26, Dallas Cowboys

Tennessee Volunteer Football is starting to be well known as WRU, also known as Wide Receiver University. The play on words describes how good the Vols WR room is beginning to become, and it stems from Jalin Hyatt’s breakout season last year. Hyatt won the Biletnikoff Award and was named the nation’s best WR, following his 1,267 yards & 15 touchdown season. Hyatt fits in perfectly with the Cowboy’s schemes and playstyle, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him head to Dallas tomorrow.

Pick Analysis. Cedric Tillman. 31. player. 124. Scouting Report. WR. University of Tennessee

Round 1, Pick 31, Kansas City Chiefs

I think the Chiefs will pull off a shocker pick and take Cedric Tillman in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Many people forget how good Cedric Tillman was during his 1,000-yard season with the Vols before getting injured last year. Tillman and Hooker were unstoppable, and I think he will end up stealing the Draft at pick 31 for the Chiefs.

University of Tennessee. Byron Young. 72. player. 35. Pick Analysis. DL. Scouting Report

Round 3, Pick 72, Tennessee Titans

NFL.com Scouting Report, according to NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein:

"“An explosive edge defender with disruptive play qualities, Young is still in the process of learning how to play his position. His rush hands lack skill and he’s missing go-to counters, but that could be coachable for him. He creates chaos when using his twitchy first step to slant and twist but still needs to tune up the stack-and-shed technique and build out a cohesive rush approach. He will be a 25-year-old rookie with a lack of polish for his age, which could be a deterrent for some teams, but a fully fueled motor and strong desire to make plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage give him a shot to become a capable pro.”"

Pick Analysis. LB. University of Tennessee. 54. Scouting Report. Jeremey Banks. 248. player

Round 7, Pick 248, Philadelphia Eagles

NFL.com Scouting Report, according to NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein:

"“Inside linebacker who makes up for being slightly undersized with physicality. Banks’ instincts and recognition improved in 2022, but he can still get better in those areas. He plays with below-average short-area twitch and just modest pursuit speed from sideline to sideline but will hit and wrap what is in front of him. He’s a likely two-down backup who might come off the field on passing downs but run back out for special teams reps.”"
