Tennessee baseball had a bit of a mixed weekend, winning one of three games against Georgia. But they still fought hard and showed off their skills out on the diamond.

After winning the last 9 games in a row, the Vols finally met their match in Athens, Georgia, against the Bulldogs and have fallen off their hot streak. Tennessee Baseball was on one of their longest win streaks of the year but only was able to win one out of the three games against Georgia.

Tennessee Baseball’s Weekend Recap

Game 1:

The Vols took game one against the Bulldogs by a score of 12-3.

Jared Dickey and Blake Burke hit back-to-back RBI singles to bring in the first two runs of the inning, while Christian Moore’s two-run homer and Christian Scott’s second RBI single of the night helped extend Tennessee’s lead to five runs.

Zane Denton hit his 11th home run of the year in the ninth inning, while Maui Ahuna, Liam Spence, Evan Russell, and Hunter Ensley all had impressive performances during the game. The team finished with 14 total hits, and Hunter Ensley made two amazing diving catches in center field.
