The ESPN FPI has recently posted its spring 2023 SEC football power rankings for the upcoming College Football season, some of which may surprise you…

ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) is a statistical tool that predicts the outcome of college football games and provides rankings for every college football team. It’s designed to give fans and analysts an idea of which teams are most likely to win on any given Saturday. The FPI looks at a bunch of different things, like how well a team has been playing, how tough their schedule is, and if they’ve been dealing with any injuries. Then, it comes up with a number that shows how good a team is overall. Now, the FPI isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good at predicting games.

The countdown to college football season has officially begun. So, let’s take a look at where Tennessee football ranks on the Football Power Index (FPI) and see what we can expect from the Vols this year.
