Tennessee Softball: History Made With SEC Tournament Win

Tennessee softball wins both the regular season and the SEC Softball Tournament and cemented their place in SEC softball history.

Tennessee softball is on fire! They just made history by winning both the regular-season and tournament championship in the same season for the first time ever! The Lady Vols clinched their third SEC Tournament crown with a 3-1 victory over South Carolina, which is their first tournament win since 2011. This victory makes them the 13th regular-season champion to win the SEC Softball Tournament. Tennessee softball has shown that they are a team of champions, and their hard work has paid off.

What’s Next for the Lady Vols?

As the softball season comes to an end, the Lady Vols are gearing up for the postseason. Tennessee softball has had an impressive season, winning both the regular-season and tournament championship in the same season for the first time ever. Now, they’re ready to take on the NCAA tournament.

Tonight, the NCAA will reveal the 2023 tournament bracket on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET. The bracket will show which teams are playing in the tournament and who they’ll be facing in the first round. The NCAA softball tournament is a double-elimination format, with 64 teams competing for the championship. The tournament is divided into 16 regional sites, with four teams playing at each site. The winners of each regional site then advance to the Super Regionals, which is a best-of-three series. The eight Super Regional winners then advance to the Women’s College World Series, which is held in Oklahoma City.

Tennessee softball has a strong history in the NCAA tournament, having made it to the Women’s College World Series seven times and winning the championship in 2007. With their recent success, the Lady Vols are poised to make a deep run in the tournament and bring home another championship.
