No. 5 best NFL Draft pick in Tennessee football history: Eric Berry

2010 NFL Draft: Round 1, Pick 5

Kansas City Chiefs, 2010–2018

Eric Berry was snakebitten throughout his NFL career, tearing his Achilles the first game after signing a six-year, $78 million contract in 2017 and being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma just before having his 2014 season cut short. Still, he was able to overcome that and be named a First Team All-Pro three times and a Pro Bowler five times.

None of his pro success was too much of a shock all things considered. Berry was a highly decorated Volunteer whose time in Knoxville produced two Unanimous All-American and First-Team All SEC seasons in 2008 and 2009.
