Tennessee Football All-Time Phil Fulmer Team Punter/Kicker

Jeff Hall (1995-1998)
Dustin Colquitt (2001-2004)

Dustin Colquitt was not only the best Tennessee football punter under Phil Fulmer, but he was also one of the best punters to play in the NFL after his college days.

Colquitt’s punting skills were exceptional, consistently delivering booming kicks that pinned opponents deep in their own territory. His ability to control distance, hang time, and placement of his punts made him a weapon for the Vols’ defense. Colquitt’s punts often helped shift field position in favor of Tennessee and provided their defense with advantageous situations.

Over the course of his career, he made pinning an opponent deep in their own territory an art form, averaging 42.6 yards per punt.

Likewise, Jeff Hall was the best kicker under Fulmer because he simply built a career on being dependable. The kicker hit 188 of 194 extra point attempts (96.9 percent accuracy over his career. That included a perfect 47-for-47 in his final year with the Tennessee football program.

Regarding field goals, Hall had one truly awful season, hitting just 10 of 18 attempts. However, in his final two years with the Volunteers, he was 35-for-46 and hit nearly 80 percent of his field goal attempts in his senior season.
