Tennessee Football wrapped up their home opener against Austin Peay, and while it was somewhat underwhelming, the Vols still got the job done.
There were several takeaways from the game, many of which can be highlighted here.
To briefly recap, there’s no denying that Joe Milton struggled at the beginning of the game. Still, everyone saying the season is over and completely doubting him is entirely wrong. On the other side of the ball, the defense was led by senior LB Aaron Beasley, who was all over the field last weekend, making play after play. Heupel also showed a small glimpse of his playbook, but Tennessee football has played against two far inferior opponents, and there’s no reason that Josh Heupel would flex his entire mastermind of a playbook for the whole country.
