Tennessee football career passing leader No. 7: Jarett Guarantano (2017-20)

  • 6,174 passing yards
  • 38 passing touchdowns
  • 61.1% completion
  • 7.6 yards per attempt

In the transition from Butch Jones to Jeremy Pruitt, Guarantano provided a sense of stability to a program that desperately needed some. Guarantano never reached the heights of a player like Hendon Hooker, but he was the starting quarterback for parts of four seasons.

In 2019, Guarantano had his best season. He completed 59.1% of his passes for 2,158 yards and 16 touchdowns with eight interceptions. The Vols went 8-5 and won the Gator Bowl, the only bowl game appearance of Pruitt’s tenure.
