4. Addison Nichols, redshirt freshman

Another key piece to that 2022 class was four-star offensive tackle Addison Nichols. This season, Joe Milton has been pressured on 24.2% of his dropbacks which is the third lowest in the SEC. The offensive line has been good, but Nichols hasn’t been a part of it.

He’s already been moved inside from tackle to guard which hurts his value and he’s only played 46 total snaps as a redshirt freshman. John Campbell Jr. and Ollie Lane are both redshirt seniors and Cooper Mays is a senior, so there could be three starting offensive line spots up for grabs this offseason.

Still, Nichols is ninth in offensive line snaps this year, which means he could be the odd man out of next season’s starting unit. If he feels it going that way, then he could test the transfer portal instead.
